“Clean Water is an Art.” Christina was one of five selected artists by the Town of Vail’s Environmental Sustainability Team in the town-wide program to educate the public about storm drains and promote the health of Gore Creek. Gore Creek may look clean but that clear water is masking an issue of serious concern. Gore Creek has failed to meet state standards set for aquatic life since 2012. One major source of pollution is stormwater. Unlike sanitary sewers, storm drains flow directly into Gore Creek without being treated. Dumping waste down a storm drain is no different from dumping directly into Gore Creek.
